According to DriveLessConnect.com, Oregon drivers travel approximately 33.1 billion vehicle-miles annually, at a cost of $1.4 billion in gas. Their auto trips produce 14 million metric tons of carbon dioxide.
During the Oregon Drive Less Challenge, Oct. 6 to 19, Oregon drivers are encouraged to eliminate 1 million vehicle miles, one trip at a time.
Each trip logged enters participants in a raffle toward various donated prizes. Activities and informational events are also being planned. For more information, to sign up and log trips, visit DriveLessConnect.com.
