Levy would preserve, expand, RVTD routes

Rogue Valley Transportation District (RVTD) is exploring the first increase to its share of public funding for more than 30 years.

A levy on the Nov. 4 ballot would cost the average household $20 per year — less than the cost of a cup of coffee per month, according to RVTD General Manager Julie Brown.

This rider relies on RVTD’s weekday and Saturday services. Just this week, we took an intermodal trip to Medford that combined transit ridership with biking up the Bear Creek Greenway.

I support a levy to maintain vital existing services, as well as add service to transit-dependent residents in currently unserved areas.
